A tour rich in history, trawling the length of this island’s history and connecting the main ancient centres of Sicily, from ancient history onwards.
The itinerary, originally over 600km long, connected Camarina to the main Greek, Punic and indigenous cities of eastern and western Sicily, ending in Mozia: this route has seen the passing of loads of salt, grain, oil, wine, honey and sulphur, people and ideas.
The tour will cross ancient wide stock trails from the Borbonic era, along the historical routes of the wine, grain, salt, oil, honey and sulphur trades, passing the main Greek, Sicilian, Sican, Elimi and Carthaginian settlements, many of which are UNESCO heritage sites.
A tour through history and through the scents and landscapes that bear witness to various cultures and that make Sicily a land of incomparable richness.
